Purpose of award: To reward outstanding college journalism in the fields of entertainment reporting, feature writing and essays and criticism.
Eligibility requirements: Awards are available in the categories of entertainment reporting, feature writing and essays and criticism. Applicants must submit a piece published between June 1 and May 30 of the current school year in a college student newspaper or magazine. Applicants must have been full- or part-time students at the time the entries were published. Only one entry is allowed per category, but students may submit to more than one category. Each entry must be submitted separately with a completed entry form, and the submitted piece must be a tearsheet from the magazine or newspaper with the date of publication shown.
