Purpose of award: To reward students for their Latin proficiency.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be gold medal winners in Latin III-N Prose, III-IV Poetry or Latin V-VI on the National Latin Exam. Applicants must be high school seniors who agree to take at least one Latin or classical Greek each semester during their first year of college. A classics in translation course does not count.
Target applicant: High school students
Minimum GPA: None
Amount: $1,000.
Number of awards: 21. Scholarship maybe renewable.
Deadline: September 15.
How to apply: Applications are mailed to eligible students. Renewal applications are available online.
