Purpose of award: To help young food scientists who plan to work in industry, government and academia.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants for the freshman scholarships must be academically outstanding high school graduates or seniors who will enter college for the first time in an approved program in food science/technology. The deadline is February 15. Applicants for the sophomore scholarships must be academically outstanding college freshman with a minimum 2.5 GPA in an approved program in food science/technology. The deadline is March 1. All candidates must submit applications, transcripts and a recommendation.

Minimum GPA: 2.5
Amount: $1,500.
Number of awards: 46.
Deadline: February 15 for the freshman scholarships and March 1 for sophomore scholarships.
