Purpose of award: The scholarships aims to improve international understanding while encouraging friendly relations between people in different countries.
Eligibility requirements: Students must have completed at least two years of college, including at least one year of college-level study of the focus language. Ideal candidates will have excellent leadership skills, demonstrate academic or vocational success, display a commitment to community service and be willing to fulfill their obligations to Rotary according to the terms of the scholarship. Applicants must be citizens of a country containing Rotary clubs, and applications can only be made through a local Rotary club. Rotarians, direct family members of Rotarians and employees or Rotary International or a Rotary district are not eligible for scholarships.
